Today we got up early to hike out to the Hacienda’s Condor Project. There are only 150 condors left in Ecuador and Hacienda Zuleta has the only two breeding pairs in captivity in Ecuador . The breeding pairs were rescued from being pets and they are now trying to repopulate the condors in Ecuador. While visiting, a free condor came and perched on the cage and showed off its wings.
After our visit to the Condors, I felt like a nap because I was still recovering from my cold. Jacob decided he wanted to go on a hike. he stopped some more fungi and then hurried back as it started raining.
We then spent the evening meeting the owner of the Hacienda and having dinner.
