Today we slept past noon considering our late night exploits and hopped on the metro towards the Palermo area of Buenos Aires. We crabbed a beer before meeting up with Ivan and his partner, Jasmine, at Victoria Brown. It had a cool steam punk vibe. Jacob and I had some very tasty empanadas in addition to the drinks while we were there.
Around midnight Jasmine left us for a girls night out and we continued on with Ivan. We tried to get into several bars but needed reservations or didn’t meet the dress code. We then made our way to the Hole – Alcatraz and were ushered into a mug shot and given our drinks thru a commissary window. There was also 1940’s Chevy in the entry way that was perfect for the duck.
The bar was pretty crowded so we decided to wander to another bar and found ourselves at J.W. Bradley which had a cool street car entrance.
We had several drinks here until we realized it was 4:30am and we needed some food. We wandered across the street from the bar to a small empanada shop. We devoured several empanadas and wished Ivan a good night as we all headed off to our beds.
