Today we were in the first group and got up early to do a combined landing and cursing at Winter Island (67°43′S 67°48′W)where you can see the former British Wordie House and current Ukrainian Research Post. We started our landing by touring Wordie House which was abandoned by the Bristish in 1954.
After the landing we got back into the zodiacs and cruised around the bay near the Ukrainian Station, since it’s an active station we couldn’t go tour it.
After crushing the ship started traveling to our next location for tomorrow and Jacob and I took in the views from the top deck.
We then went to the gym and had dinner and then met with Brian and Paul to play more Euchre in the bar as we watch the scenery.
