Today I was feeling well enough to go on a morning hike while Jacob went on his big high altitude volcano adventure. We headed off to hike to the bus in the middle of no where in the desert.
Meanwhile Jacob was doing an epic hike up a volcano to 18,600ft. I would have died, so I’m glad he had fun. He said it was extremely hard and he struggled to breathe with each step, which you can see on his face in a couple of the photos.
We met back at the lodge for lunch then relaxed until our afternoon adventure in the Salar de Atacama, a large salt lake similar to the Dead Sea. It was really cool to be neutrally buoyant.
After our fun in the lake we went back to the lodge had some drinks and had a final dinner with our new friends before calling it an early night.
