Got up early-ish for the tour included in our room package. There was some miscommunication at first because they thought we ordered so special tour that just goes to one place but we helped them understand that it was a package and we didn’t have any specific plans. So the driver took us on a tour of stuff he thought we should see. First stop the tiered rice fields. There were lots of touristy things to do there, like zip line, etc but we decided to pass and just walk around a bit.
After the rice fields we headed for Pura Tirtha Empul temple, we a very cool spring billows up with a black cloud into clear water. Many people come to bathe in the waters for purification.
It seems no tour in Bali is complete without having civet poop coffee, we went for another tasting. This time we got to see a bit more in the production, the harvesting, and roasting processes.
As the last stop of the tour, we went and had lunch near the local active volcano, Mount Batur, with a beautiful view of Lake Batur.
Then we headed back to hotel and figured out where to get our laundry done and having a few drinks in town before our candle light dinner on our room balcony.
After our dinner, we made our way back to town and had some drinks and found a cool speakeasy style bar above honey & smoke that was air conditioned, so nice.
