Today we headed out on a day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. Almost dropped triceraduck onto the bullet train tracks and lost him forever.
After many more of transportation bullet train, subway, and ferry we finally got to Miyajima Island and hike to the top of Mount Misen. Let’s just say that Jacob and I have been slacking in our hiking and the hike was a bit harder than it should have been. On the way we saw several temples and had some great views of the Hiroshima area.
After climbing to the top of Mount Misen, we took the tram down the mountain for a much needed late lunch and a walk thru the local market.
We took the ferry back to downtown Hiroshima where saw the A-bomb dome and Hiroshima castle which was restored after the atomic bomb.
We headed back to Kyoto and skipped dinner cause we were tired and wanted a shower and sleep.
