Got up early for meetings and may have driven Jacob crazy while he was trying to sleep. It’s hard to coordinate meeting while in Japan with California. Then headed out to IROS to listen to some talks, see the expo, and connect with old colleagues. One thing I spotted while in the expo was a “naked” HSR, it was cool to see and explained somethings about the high cost of the robot.
After the conference, we went in search of tonkatsu ramen before Jacob and I made the trek to Fushimi Inari. We found a great ramen spot, Ichirian, that had little cubbies and the ability to customize your ramen exactly the way you like it.
With over 10,000 gates along the hiking path we decided to hike to the top of Mount Inari. We stopped for a fortune and Triceraduck picked up a new friend along the way.
After our hike we went to meet up with friends from other robotics companies to have dinner. Everyone went to karaoke when we finished dinner, except me because I had to give a talk in the morning.
